Bologna and catsup sandwiches

My daughter eats cheese sandwiches on whole wheat bread for lunch. My wife will sometimes cut the sandwich in the shape of a heart. She would add turkey if my daughter ate meat, but she's a self-selected vegetarian at the moment.

My mother fed us bologna and catsup sandwiches for lunch. One slice of bologna on Wonder bread.

Never any cheese. I used to think that only the richest people in the world own cheese.

When I look into the refrigerator today and see that we have cheese, I feel like I'm doing pretty good.

Being motherly, Mom would make a smiley face in catsup as she applied it liberally to the bologna.
