Initial assessment of Glee
/After two episodes…
The good:
- Quirky as hell
- Original characters with actual character development
- A possible reference to HL Menken in the pilot
- Good music
- Genuinely funny
The bad:
- High school kids can be mean, but never this mean
- A smidgen of sap
- A formulaic plot but with blessedly non-formulaic characters
…and that might be it.
Overall a rousing success so far. I love it.
