What do you think of the blog’s new design?

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you may have noticed a change this week. Over the last month, I have been working with a company in Uzbekistan to migrate my blog and websites from TypePad over to WordPress.

When I launched this blog in 2008, TypePad and WordPress were running neck-and-neck in terms of adoption and features, and I had to choose one.

I chose TypePad, I chose poorly.

Four years later, WordPress is far and away the more widely adapted and more agile platform, and so a change was required. Thankfully, there were companies that specialized in these migrations, which are not easy if you wish to preserve every link, comment and post from the previous blog. This week we are in the process of completing the migration.

Now that I will be using WordPress, I can make design changes to both my blog and author website fairly easily, and Elysha and I have already targeted changes that we would like to see made. If you see anything that you do not like in terms of the current design or have any suggestions in terms of how to improve the design, please let me know.

This is most definitely a work in progress. The heavy lifting of actually moving the site from one platform to another is nearly complete. Now begins the fine tuning, and I want to be sure that we get it right.

Thanks everyone.
